WC – Burlington Low-Level Narrow Cistern & Seat
Burlington low-level toilet with a vintage-style porcelain cistern, including a flush lever. This toilet combines classic design with modern functionality.
Low-level toilets, where the cistern is mounted closer to the toilet bowl but still connected with a short flush pipe, became common during the 1920s and 1930s. This development marked a shift from earlier high-level models, which had cisterns mounted high on the wall using longer flush pipes to increase flushing force. The transition to low-level systems was partly driven by practical reasons, as installation became easier and more space-efficient. Additionally, the new low-level toilets were better suited to the smaller bathrooms that became more common in modern homes. Flushing mechanisms had also improved to the point where placing the cistern high on the wall was no longer necessary to ensure proper flushing power.
The toilet features dual flush capability with adjustable flush volume, even though it uses a traditional flush lever. Push upward for a half flush and pull downward for a full flush.
The toilet comes with an exclusive soft-close seat, available in the following finishes:
White – 122-290-V (Semi-gloss white seat in urea, a durable plastic)
Matte White – 122-290-MV (Matte white painted wood seat)
Black – 122-290-S (Glossy black lacquered wood seat)
Mahogany – 122-290-M (Glossy seat with mahogany-look)
Oak – 122-290-EK (Seat in light matte oak finish)
For detailed measurements, see the product images. Note that the pipe can be cut both vertically and horizontally to adjust the placement. The cistern can thus be mounted lower on the wall, and the toilet bowl can be installed closer to the wall if desired. However, the bowl cannot be placed so close to the wall that the toilet seat won't stay open when lifted.
All Burlington toilets feature a nano-glaze coating which is far superior to standard porcelain as it prevents the accumulation of dirt and bacteria on the surface. All Burlington products are CE-certified which means that they are approved for use throughout the EU.
