Wood-Burning Cookstove - Idun No 1 (Rear Connection)
Idun No. 1 was the best-selling wood-burning cookstove of the 1930s and is still manufactured today. The classic design has been preserved while the stove has been equipped with modern combustion technology that meets current environmental requirements. The cast iron body is manufactured in Denmark, while the sheet metal components are made locally, with final assembly completed by hand in Reftele, Småland, Sweden.
The wood-burning cookstove provides pleasant supplemental heat for a home or vacation house and is equally well suited for cooking and heating. The ceiling of the large baking oven is lined with a 15 mm (0.59 in.) thick soapstone slab, which helps provide a more even oven temperature and longer heat retention.
The stove has precision-ground cooktop plates for good heat retention and cooking performance. The doors are equipped with smooth spring latches, and the air supply is easily regulated with a control on the front of the stove. The stove also has a connection for external combustion air.
Idun No. 1 has flue connections both at the top and at the rear. This item is supplied for rear connection.
The stove includes a stove hook, soot rake, ash pan, stove blacking, thermometer, and a smooth baking sheet.
The stove complies with Ecodesign requirements and comes with a 10-year warranty.
