A cut nail is a machine-forged nail with a tapered blade and a flat or half-round head. The tapered blade helps prevent wood from cracking when the nail is removed. Once the nail has been straightened again, it can be reused, which sets it apart from modern nails!
This nail is made of robust steel sheet and can be used in various areas depending on its dimensions:
Dimension | Purpose |
2½” | 65 x 4 x 3mm | Mouldings, trim, and interior finish carpentry |

4″ | 100 x 5 x 4mm | Exterior board siding and trim |
