Linseed Soap 1 L - White Pigmented Soap

Allbäck's white pigmented linseed soap can be used to brighten and treat untreated wooden floors of ash, birch, pine, and spruce, indoors. The type of wood greatly affects the final outcome, and the quality of the wood is important for a truly beautiful scrubbed floor. The floorboards should be of high quality and laid with the heart side up.

How to scrub a floor with white pigmented linseed soap:

1. Sand the floor with 120–240 grit sandpaper (a finer sandpaper results in less color absorption). Vacuum the wooden floor thoroughly before starting to scrub.
2. Moisten the floor with cold water.
3. The linseed soap should be well shaken before use. Use 1–2 dl (0.42-0.85 cups) of soap for about 0.5 L (0.13 gallons) of cold water in a clean bucket to scrub a wooden floor. For scrubbing a very dry wooden floor, use double the amount of soap. Repeat the treatment 2–4 times to make the soap act as a protector. Each time you soap the floor, it becomes lighter and the protection improves.
4. Scrub in the direction of the boards and a few boards at a time with a scrub brush on a handle. For heavy dirt stains, apply concentrated soap directly to the brush.
5. Rinse/wipe the floor with a damp cloth about 15 minutes afterward, let dry.

Things to consider:

• Never use white pigmented linseed soap directly on dry wood as it may cause stains.
• Hot water turns the wood gray.
• After the first scrubbing, a raising of fibers may occur. Sand the floor again before continuing the treatment.
• The floor needs to be scrubbed 1–2 times a year to build up a durable surface.
• Use linseed soap for wet cleaning of normally soiled scrubbed floors.

How to make a return: 

As a customer, you always have a 30-day right of return. To return an item, fill out our return form. There you will also find more information about returns and our return policy. 

Return policy:  

• The product must be returned unused, in its original packaging, and well packaged so that it is not damaged during transport. 
• Return shipping costs will be added. Heavy goods must always be returned by pallet freight. 
• Tiles and clinker must be returned in dry, clean, and unbroken packaging. 
• Upon approval of the return, the price of the goods will be refunded. Shipping costs are not refundable. Refunds will be made within 30 days using the same payment method used for the purchase. 
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to wood products such as wooden floors, wooden moldings, and wood paneling, as well as special orders such as custom-made items, broken colors, and special alloys on fittings. 
• In the event of an unapproved return, we reserve the right to make a price deduction. 

Smaller items can be returned free of charge to our store at Karlavägen 7 in Stockholm or to our warehouse at Västbergavägen 43 in Hägersten (Stockholm). Heavier and/or bulky goods can only be returned to our warehouse.
