Shellac Solution - Selder & Co 250 ml

Shellac provides protection against penetration of the resin from knots before painting. Particularly difficult branches should be covered more than once. Can also be used to cover the discoloration of surfaces to be painted.

Shellac can be used both indoors and outdoors. On facades, however, resin can sometimes seep through from behind in the wood, which means that no knotting varnish can guarantee completely permanent protection. 

Drying time: Ca 0.5-1 hour.
Contains: Isopropanol, shellac flakes. 40% flakes and 60% ethanol.

Application: Pour the appropriate amount in a separate container. Use a smaller brush of a simpler kind. Spread out as evenly as possible. Brushes that have dried can sometimes be revived by breaking the brush back and forth.

Tip! If distinct edges form around the treated areas, they can be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper to reduce the risk of them showing through the finished paintwork. 

WARNING: Highly flammable liquid. Do not expose to heat, sparks, fire or hot surfaces. No smoking.

As a customer, you always have a 30-day right of withdrawal. To make a return, please complete our return form. There you will also find more information about returns and our return terms.

Return terms:

• The product must be returned unused, complete and in its original packaging, and properly packed in a protective outer package in the same way as upon delivery. Original packaging sealed with packing tape will not be accepted. Return shipping costs apply.
• Heavy/fragile goods/long goods must always be returned by pallet freight.
• Tiles must be returned in dry, clean and unopened packaging.
• Once the return has been inspected and processed, a refund will be issued within approximately 5–10 days using the same payment method as used for the purchase. Delivery shipping costs are not refunded. If a return is not approved, we reserve the right to make a deduction corresponding to the depreciation in the product’s value.
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to timber (wooden floors, mouldings and panelling) or custom-made orders such as tinted paint, special alloys, made-to-measure products or assembled/painted products.
