Bent hinge in untreated steel with acorn finial. A bent hinge is used, for example, when mounting rebated window sashes or cabinet doors. The hinge is available in various sizes and as a right-hand or left-hand variant. The images show a right-hand hinge.

The untreated steel needs to be treated to prevent rust. We recommend using rust protection oil or painting the hinge with linseed oil paint.

If you look at your door or window in the closed position and the hinge is visible on the right side of the door (or window), it is right-hinged. If the hinges are on the left side, the door (or window) is left-hinged.

The acorn finial was a common decorative feature on hinges for doors, windows, and cabinet doors from the late 19th century until the mid-1930s.

Includes screws.
