Facts & Info - Build your own hat or shoe rack

By combining the parts, you can easily build your own hat shelf or shoe rack in the old-fashioned style, according to your own wishes and space.

How to:

  1. Start by choosing the end of your shoe or hat shelf. We have ends in black cast iron, untreated brass or nickel-plated brass.
  2. What type of rod / tube do you want? Our round rods are made of untreated oak which of course can be treated with linseed oil or wax for extra protection. The round bars can be cut to the desired length. Our pipes in untreated brass and chrome-plated brass also fit the ends. Here you can choose between 3 different lengths. The pipes can also be cut to the desired length. For the hat shelves, you need 4 rods / tubes and for the shoe shelves, you need 8 pcs. The pipes are screwed into the ends with the supplied wood screws.
  3. For the hat shelf, you also need anchor hooks. Here you can choose between variants in cast iron, brass or nickel-plated design. We usually recommend at least 4 anchor hooks that are threaded on the rods / pipes closest to the wall to make room for hangers on the outermost rods.
