Färgsättning och tapetmönster genom tiderna

Modet när det kommer till färger och tapeter har växlat genom olika tidsepoker och kan därför användas till tydliga tidsmarkörer. Jämför till exempel 1800-talets mörka färgsättning och vilda tapetmönster med jugendstilens mjukare formspråk och ljusare färgsättning. Mellan 1910 och 1920 smyckades väggarna med handvävda textilier i klara färger som sedan byttes mot tapeter i geometriska mönster och stiliserade blommor under 1920-talet.
