Classic art nouveau tile with semi-transparent glaze that gives the tile its unique color depth and its fine craquelé - fine cracks in the glaze - which works as a special design element. The craquelé will grow stronger over time as a result of the aging process, just like the original art nouveau tiles. Crackled tiles were popular around the year 1900 throughout Europe. Note that this type of crackled tiles must be sealed both before and after grouting to prevent dirt from getting into the cracks. Due to the cracks, these tiles require an extra step in the installation and maintenance compared with usual tiles. Read more in the link above about assembly and maintenance.

Note that tiles with size above 10 x 10 cm (3.93 x 3.93 in.) should be calculated with 5-10% extra waste. The tile color of the image and reality can vary as well as between batches and different tile products.

Remember that tiles are a natural material with natural variations between different production times. These discrepancies do not constitute grounds for complaint. It is incumbent on the buyer to check the products before assembly. Complaints after assembly are not accepted.
