Tile Borders
A tile border frames the floor like a rug, often set slightly in from the wall. The border consists of frieze tiles and corner pieces laid around a patterned or solid-colored field. This was a common design feature in entryways and bathrooms around the turn of the 20th century. All pieces are made of porcelain stoneware from Winckelmans.
