About the candles from Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik:
Liljeholmens’ eco-labeled candles are made from 100% stearin and feature a braided cotton wick. When lit, they burn with a large, beautiful, and soot-free flame. The oxygen-rich stearin does not drip or smoke. The wick is specially treated, the edge sharp, and the base stays dry.
The wick is braided to bend at a 90-degree angle during burning, placing the tip in the hottest part of the flame where the temperature reaches 1400°C (2552°F), allowing the wick to burn away completely and at the same rate as the candle.
