An intermediate switch is used when more than two switches are connected to the same light. It is installed between two alternation switches, such as in the half-landing of a staircase or in a corridor when one light must be switched on and off from multiple locations. If you want to use a regular power switch to turn a light on and off, or have two switches connected to the same lamp, then select a two-way switch instead.

This switch has the same design as our other electrical fittings in Bakelite for surface mounting and is therefore very compatible with them.
