Inspiration - Rebuilding furniture with panel molding

With just a few simple steps, you can easily add a period-appropriate touch to modern interiors without tearing out or replacing fully functional furniture. One of the most popular products in our assortment is our decorative mouldings, available in various profiles and dimensions. They work beautifully for everything from wall panels and door frames to wardrobe doors or the edges of built-in hat or book shelves.

In the photos, you can see a simple wooden frame that has been embellished with a decorative moulding and then painted with a light linseed oil paint. We’ve also added traditional hinges, a baseboard, and brass fittings that complete the authentic look.

It doesn’t have to be complicated to transform a sideboard, cabinet doors, or bookshelf into a more period-style piece using different types of wooden mouldings!
