Order

When you place an order through our online store www.sekelskifte.comor by emailingorder@sekelskifte.se,we will confirm your order by sending an order confirmation to the email address you provided. This order confirmation is a confirmation that a purchase agreement has been entered into between you and Sekelskifte 1900 AB (Sekelskifte). By placing an order, you also agree to our terms and conditions of purchase and consent to your name and personal or organization number being registered in our systems. We reserve the right to correct or cancel your order if delivery cannot be made for any reason, and we also reserve the right to combine your orders and deliver them in one package if you have placed multiple orders. Some products are made to order, and for some of these, orders are placed via email or telephone. Special shipping and delivery terms apply to these types of orders. Sekelskifte does not enter into agreements with persons who are not of legal age (18 years).

Changing or canceling an order
A change or cancellation is only valid once you have received confirmation from us. If the change is approved, any price differences will be adjusted according to the price applicable at the time of the change. You can cancel or change your order at no cost to you until the order has been processed, i.e., an invoice or shipping document has been created. After this point, you are obligated to accept the delivery. However, as our customer, you always have a 30-day right of withdrawal as stated under the heading "Right of withdrawal" below. Special rules apply to the cancellation of goods that have been specially manufactured for you.

We reserve the right to cancel orders that contain incorrect personal information and/or where the customer has payment remarks or if an order has been created using automated methods such as software, machines, web crawlers, scripts, or through third-party services acting on your behalf.

Prices and information on our website

The prices listed in our online store include VAT if you live within the EU. If you live outside the EU, the prices shown are exclusive of VAT. We reserve the right to correct any errors in price and product information on the website. In the event of an incorrect price, we reserve the right to change this retrospectively. As a customer, you will of course be asked if you wish to proceed with the purchase before we make such a change.

We also reserve the right to make price changes, final sales, stock differences, technical problems, changes to technical specifications and any typographical errors on our site, and reserve the right to change product information and prices without prior notice. Images appearing in our online store should not be considered exact representations of a particular item.

Please note that the color reproduction on our website may vary depending on monitors and screen settings, which means that we cannot guarantee that product images and samples accurately reflect the appearance and characteristics of the item. Colors and shades may differ between images and reality. For samples, only the sample can be used as a guide. Especially for natural materials, such as wood moldings, wood floors, tiles, and marbled stone, variations may occur between different pieces of material. This is a natural characteristic of such materials and contributes to the unique character of each product.

Goods ordered for use outside Sweden
Sekelskifte ships goods to several different countries. As a customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that the goods you order comply with the local regulations and standards applicable in the country where the products will be used. This may include, but is not limited to, regulations for electrical products, mixers, and other products related to water and electricity. Regulations and standards may vary between countries, and it is important that you, as a customer, check that the product is approved and safe to use in the intended environment.

Sekelskifte accepts no responsibility for any complications that may arise if products are used or installed in violation of local regulations.

Payment

At Sekelskifte, we work with reliable and reputable payment services such as Klarna, PayPal, and Adyen to ensure secure and smooth transactions. When you pay by card, your card details are never stored on our servers; all card information is handled directly by our payment partners, who follow strict security protocols in accordance with the PCI DSS standard.

Swish
Pay quickly and securely with your mobile phone! All you need is the Swish app and a valid Bank ID installed on your phone. Open the app and follow the instructions on your phone to complete the purchase. Once the payment is approved, the money will be deducted directly from the account you have linked to Swish and you will be automatically redirected to the order confirmation page.

For special orders, please always contact our customer service. In such cases, advance payment may also be required.

Sekelskifte reserves the right to perform a credit check where necessary in order to grant credit. As a customer, you agree to pay within the specified time for selected payment method. Payment after the due date may result in late fees and interest.

Refunds
In cases where refunds are applicable, this is primarily done by refunding in the same way as the original payment was made. The refund will be made within a few days of the matter causing the refund being resolved.

Shipping & Delivery

The shipping methods offered vary depending on the size of your order and your location. The easiest way to see which shipping methods are available for your order is to add an item to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout.

Shipping & Administration Fee
In addition to the price shown for each product in our online store, ashipping andadministration fee may be added. This fee is intended to cover the costs of handling, packaging, shipping, and packaging. You will see any shipping and administration fees for your order at checkout. It will also always be stated on your order confirmation.

Delivery time
The delivery time stated in our online store or on the order confirmation is only an estimated delivery time and not a guaranteed delivery time. If you are in a hurry, we always recommend that you call our customer service and check before ordering.

Delivery delays
Please note that the delivery times shown under each product on our website and on order confirmations are only indications. Delivery times may be extended as unforeseen delays may occur. To certain parts of Norrland and Gotland, transport companies deliver with a delay of one or two days, which is not always included in the estimated delivery time we specify on our website.

We have almost all the products we sell in stock, but sometimes it happens that the item is out of stock in our warehouse and also at our supplier. Our ambition is to always inform you, the customer, of any delivery delays. If a delivery delay occurs and causes problems for you, we will try to help you with suggestions for equivalent products, if available.

If a delivery delay occurs, you as a customer have the right to cancel the purchase free of charge. NOTE: However, this does not apply to products that are made to order or produced according to the customer's unique specifications.

Please note that Sekelskifte does not compensate for delivery delays. Never book a contractor before you have received and checked the goods. Always call and check with us before ordering if you are in a hurry for a delivery.

Delivery to islands
For orders through our online store, it is not possible to get direct delivery to islands without a fixed road connection (Gotland is however exempt from this rule). If you as a customer have chosen delivery to a parcel delivery point, the delivery will be sent to the nearest delivery point on the mainland. If you want delivery to an island without a road connection, please call our customer service on 08-41009325 or email info@sekelskifte.se and we will try to help.


Any
transportdamage that has occurred during transport to you will be covered by Sekelskifte. If, upon receipt of the goods, you discover that the shipment has been damaged in transit, either to the product or the packaging, we ask you to report this immediately to the shipping company by noting the damage on the delivery note before signing for the delivery. If you can immediately see or hear that an item is completely destroyed, e.g., a sink with porcelain shards rattling in the box, you should not accept the item at all. Ask the carrier to take the entire shipment back. Always photograph visible transport damage. We recommend that you inspect large pallet deliveries of bulky goods together with the carrier. The damage must then be reported immediately. reported to our customer service so that we can best assist you with your complaint. The same applies to any hidden damage discovered on the shipment. The damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of receipt of the delivery. It is therefore important that you unpack and inspect your ordered products carefully immediately after delivery or immediately after picking up the package at the parcel delivery point. If you delay checking and thus discovering transport damage, the transport insurance will not apply and we will not be able to replace the goods as the transport company will not reimburse us.

If serious damage has occurred, you must not use the product. Instead, you must immediately contact our customer service on 08-41009325 or via email at info@sekelskifte.seto report the damage. It is also important that you save the packaging so that the damage can be inspected when the claim is processed.

For direct deliveries to companies, the delivery terms DDU 022 – Free unloaded at the specified delivery address apply.

Partial deliveries
For larger orders, the order may be divided into several deliveries. We are aware that this is not always desirable, and we therefore always strive to minimize the number of partial deliveries to make it as convenient as possible for you as a customer.

Uncollected or unclaimed goods
As the buyer, you are responsible for collecting or receiving your order within the time specified on the delivery notice. Packages that are not collected from the agent within 7 days will be returned to us, and we will then charge a fee of SEK 150 for shipping and administrative costs. For direct deliveries or larger shipments that require pallet or piece goods handling, our carriers may charge fees for boom driving and storage rent if the delivery is not received on time. If delivery is not booked within four working days, you will be charged for any storage rental costs. Please note that if you regret a purchase and want to return the item, you must first collect the package and then return it according to the return instructions below.

Our shipping methods

Sekelskifte We work with several different logistics companies and can offer our customers a wide range of shipping methods. The shipping methods offered vary depending on the size of your order and your location. Within Sweden, we use the following shipping methods:

Delivery to a PostNord pick-up point
Delivery is made to the nearest agent based on your postal code. You will receive a text message when the package has arrived and can be picked up at the agent. The item can then be picked up within 7 days upon presentation of ID and shipping information. In most cases, the recipient can sign for the package with Bank-ID in the PostNord app and have someone else pick up the package. Please note that agents in smaller towns sometimes have limited delivery times, which may affect delivery times. For private individuals, Sekelskifte reserves the right, for small orders of small items that fit in a padded envelope and can be posted in PostNord's yellow mailboxes, to send the order by post directly to the customer's mailbox.

Home delivery and delivery to parcel boxes with Budbee
We offer home delivery anddelivery to parcel boxes with Budbee for large parts of Sweden. These postcodes are included in Budbee's delivery area. We reserve the right to change the shipping method if Budbee does not deliver to your postcode. An SMS notification will be sent when the parcel has been scanned at Budbee's terminal, normally the day after your parcel has left our warehouse. If you are unable to receive the package on the scheduled delivery date, you can book a new date via the link in the text message.

Home and direct delivery with PostNord
PostNord delivers to your home as a private individual within an agreed time window on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. You can also choose to have your delivery even if no one is home. You will receive a message via text message, email, or in the PostNord app when the package is on its way. There you can choose the day and time for delivery. PostNord delivers to the door or property boundary, and you are responsible for carrying the parcel inside. The parcel (shipment) is checked and signed for by you on site upon receipt.

For companies with staff during normal office hours, parcels are normally sent directly to the specified address without notification.

Direct delivery - Pallets and general cargo
For heavier and more bulky deliveries (pallets andgeneral cargo), we ship directly to private individuals and business customers using PostNord, DHL, and Expresservice. The goods are then delivered to the door if you live in an apartment or to the property boundary if you live in a house. Products are delivered during the day and require a recipient to sign for the goods. Unfortunately, we cannot influence the carrier's times and delivery days. In some smaller towns in Sweden, the carrier may only offer home delivery on certain days of the week. Upon receipt of the goods, they should be inspected carefully before signing for the delivery. If there is visible damage to the packaging or the goods, this must be noted on the delivery note before you sign for it. The shipping company does not normally deliver goods without a receipt from the customer or a recipient responsible on behalf of the customer. This means that you are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive and sign for the goods when the delivery is made.

Right of withdrawal and returns

According to the Distance and Doorstep Sales Act, as a consumer you always have a 14-day right of withdrawal. To ensure that you feel completely secure with your purchase, Sekelskifte instead offers a full 30-day right of withdrawal from the date you receive the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal or make a return, please contact us within 30 days of receiving the item(s). You can email us atinfo@sekelskifte.se or call us at 08-41009325. We need the following information from you:

  1. Order number (found in your order confirmation, on the delivery note, or on the invoice)
  2. Name and contact details
  3. Item number and quantity of the products you wish to return.

You must receive confirmation from us that the return is approved before sending the goods back. We will then provide a return number that must always be used in communication with us.

When exercising your right of withdrawal, you as the customer are responsible for the return shipping costs. Smaller items can be returned free of charge in person to our store on Karlavägen or to our warehouse in Västberga. Heavier and/or bulky goods can only be returned to our warehouse. If you are unable to return the goods in person, you can send them back to us. We will always book the return shipping and email you a return shipping label. The return cost within Sweden is SEK 69 for parcels and SEK 695 for pallets. Heavy goods, such as kitchen sinks, toilets, washbasins, stoves, and tiles, are always returned by pallet freight.

For the right of withdrawal to apply, the item must be unused and undamaged, and the product's original packaging must be intact and clean. If the item or packaging is not in its original condition, a price reduction may be applied corresponding to the reduction in value of the item. It is important that you return the items in their original packaging. Tiles and clinkers purchased in whole boxes must be returned in whole boxes. For tiles and clinkers that we do not stock (special order items), a 25% return deduction will be applied.

Canceling a purchase of an order item
If you wish to cancel an order for a specially ordered item, we will be happy to help you as far as possible. Please contact our customer service as soon as possible if you wish to cancel a specially ordered item, preferably within 24 hours. hours from the time of order. This is to ensure that we have not already forwarded your order to our factory. In certain exceptional cases, it may be possible to cancel the purchase even after 24 hours, but only if we can cancel the order with our manufacturer, which we cannot guarantee. If it incurs costs for us to cancel the order after production has begun, we reserve the right to deduct these costs from the amount refunded, for example by retaining all or part of the deposit paid.

You do not have the right to cancel if the nature of the goods means they cannot be returned. The Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59) contains a number of provisions that limit the right to exercise the right of withdrawal. We would like to draw customers' attention to the fact that, according to Section 5, the right of withdrawal/return does not apply if the agreement concerns: "a product that is to be manufactured or significantly modified according to the consumer's specific wishes or that is otherwise to have a clear personal character." Examples of this are goods that are manufactured to order and customized according to the customer's wishes, such as radiators. The right of withdrawal also does not apply (according to Section 11, point 4) to "a product that can quickly deteriorate or become too old." Examples of such goods in our range are timber, such as wooden floors, wooden moldings, and wood paneling. The reason for this is that wood is a living material that is sensitive to both moisture and heat and can be damaged if, for example, the packaging is opened or it is stored incorrectly. Exceptions are also mentioned in § 6: "a product that, due to its nature, is mixed with other items in such a way that they cannot be separated from each other." Examples of such products are, for example, broken paint or a special alloy on a faucet or fixture.

We do not guarantee delivery times but only pass on the supplier's estimated delivery times. Delivery times may vary depending on the supplier's workload at any given time. Extended delivery times are not normally an acceptable reason to cancel a purchase of a specially ordered item.

As a customer, you are responsible for the item until it has been delivered to us. Returns may not be sent cash on delivery or to parcel delivery points.

For companies that shop at Sekelskifte, the Swedish Sale of Goods Act applies.

Refunds
Once we have received and checked the returned item, we will refund the value as soon as possible, but no later than within 30 days in accordance with the Distance Contracts Act. Please note that shipping and return shipping costs are not refundable. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original order. If Klarna was used for the purchase, the amount will be refunded via Klarna, and so on.

Complaints

If a defect in a product is due to a manufacturing defect, you as a private customer have the right, in accordance with the Consumer Purchase Act, to complain about the defect within three years from the date you received the product. The right to complain applies to original manufacturing defects and does not cover defects caused by careless handling, misuse, general wear and tear, or failure to follow care instructions. Please note that consumables such as light sources, gaskets, mixer cartridges, etc. are not covered by the warranty or right to complain. These products are intended to be replaced regularly during normal use. Exceptions apply in the case of clear manufacturing defects that arise upon delivery.

If you have received a defective or incorrect item, please contact our customer service immediately at info@sekelskifte.se. Describe the defect as thoroughly as possible, preferably with pictures, and provide your contact details and order number. Complaints must be made in accordance with the instructions you receive from us. If the complaint is approved, the following applies Sekelskifte for new shipping and any return shipping.

Important to note

  • Never book a contractor until you have checked that the correct items have been delivered and that no damage has occurred during delivery.
  • Incorrect or incorrectly picked items must not be assembled, as this is considered to mean that you, as the buyer, have approved the delivery.
  • Any complaints must be reported to us as soon as possible after receipt of the delivery. This does not apply if it is only possible to discover that the item is incorrectly picked or broken during assembly.
  • Complaints regarding building materials such as wood moldings, wood flooring, tiles, clinker, ceiling moldings, wallpaper, and paint will not be accepted after assembly or installation.

Natural materials and complaints
Many of our products are made from natural materials such as wood, metal, stone, and stucco. These materials often vary in appearance, size, and structure, which is completely natural. Variations such as knots, grain, color variations, structural differences, marbling, marks, and scars are normal and do not constitute valid grounds for complaint. To preserve the quality of natural materials over time, it is important to follow the care instructions we provide at the time of purchase and on our website. Sekelskifte reserves the right to refuse complaints in the event of damage and wear and tear resulting from failure to follow these care instructions.

Craftsman costs in the event of a complaint
Sekelskifte is responsible for repairing or replacing defective products in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and the Consumer Sales Act. However, we do not reimburse any indirect costs, such as labor costs for installing or removing defective products, unless otherwise expressly agreed. If a mixer or switch breaks and needs to be repaired or replaced, our warranty only covers the cost of the product itself.

In the event of a dispute, we follow the recommendations of the Swedish National Board for Consumer Complaints.

Business customers and complaints
According to the Swedish Sale of Goods Act, business customers have the right to complain about defects in a product within two years of the date of receipt of the product.

Force Majeure

We always do our utmost to ensure that you, as a customer, receive your goods on time. However, Sekelskifte cannot be held responsible for delays arising from extraordinary events or circumstances beyond our control, which we could not reasonably have foreseen or overcome without significant financial loss. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, strikes, wars, riots, blockades, government intervention, fires, explosions, boycotts, and other force majeure circumstances that affect delays with suppliers and/or delivery.
