All solid wood floors should be screwed or nailed. This is a quality screw from Gunnebo Fastening. The box contains 250 screws with a TX10 bit.
Some tips when screwing floors:
Use an automatic screwdriver. Fasten the screw 1 mm above the feather at a 45º angle. The floorboards must cross at least two floor joists. NOTE! Do not put two end joints next to each other.
To calculate the required number of floor screws:
(number of square meters of floor/floor plank width in meters)/distance between joists in meters
Example:
Floor area: 24 m²
Width of the floor planks: 180 mm (= 0.18 m)
Distance between joists: 0.6 meters
(24 m²/0.18 m)/0.6 = 222 floor screws (i.e., 1 box)
