An intermediate switch is used when more than two switches are connected to the same light. It is used between two alternation switches, for example in a half-landing of a staircase or in a corridor when one light should be switched on and off from multiple locations. If you want a regular power switch to turn on and off a light source, or have two switches connected to the same lamp, instead select a two-way switch.
Choose whether you want the the switch with or without a cableway depending on if you wish to install the switch in a universal box. Surface mounted switches intended for a fitted installtion are preferably combined with wood frame, see below under Related products.
