Ribbing is a lampette inspired by neoclassicism, early 1800s. At that time, it was instead provided with lit candles. This model makes itself nice in pairs as pendants, for example on either side of a painting.

The wooden plate can also have a decorative effect that accentuates the location of the lamp and is in that case preferably ordered without the drilled hole in the side.
