WC – Burlington Low-Level Toilet, Slim Cistern, Standard Height
The Burlington low-level toilet with a porcelain cistern features a traditional design combined with modern functionality. The set includes a flush lever.
Low-level toilets, where the cistern is mounted closer to the bowl but still connected with a short flush pipe, became popular during the 1920s and 1930s. This shift was a development from the earlier high-level models, which featured a cistern mounted high up on the wall and used a longer pipe to generate more flush power. The transition to low-level systems was partly driven by practical reasons, as the installation became simpler and more space-efficient. Furthermore, these toilets better suited the smaller bathrooms that became more common in modern homes. The flushing efficiency had also improved to the point where it was no longer necessary to mount the cistern high on the wall to achieve sufficient flushing force.
The toilet features dual flush with adjustable water volume, even though it uses a traditional flush lever. Push the lever up for a half flush and pull it down for a full flush. We supply the toilet with components adapted for Swedish outlet dimensions (normally about 100–120 mm or 3.94–4.72 in.) and Swedish water pressure.
The toilet seat is sold separately.
For detailed measurements, see the product images. Note that the pipe can be cut both vertically and horizontally to adjust the placement. The cistern can thus be mounted lower on the wall, and the toilet bowl can be installed closer to the wall if desired. However, the bowl cannot be placed so close to the wall that the toilet seat won't stay open when lifted.
All Burlington toilets feature a nano-glaze coating which is far superior to standard porcelain as it prevents the accumulation of dirt and bacteria on the surface. All Burlington products are CE-certified which means that they are approved for use throughout the EU.
