Espagnolette handle - Fix 2 nickel

Espagnolette handles are used on windows and patio doors fitted with espagnolette locking systems. When the handle is turned, it activates a mechanism that locks or unlocks multiple points simultaneously, providing a secure and stable closure. Our espagnolette handles are suitable for both windows and balcony doors, and selected models are also available with a key lock.

If the door has a standard square spindle, our espagnolette handles may be compatible. However, modern or newly manufactured patio doors are often built with a completely different construction. In those cases, our espagnolette handles unfortunately will not fit.

We offer a wide range of espagnolette handle designs, many of which can be paired with our door handles for a cohesive appearance. The product name indicates which models are designed to match. We also offer additional designs with details and shapes that pair well with period style door handles from the turn of the century.

The espagnolette handles are installed using 2 to 4 slotted screws (depending on the model), which are fastened directly into the door leaf. We recommend tightening the screws by hand rather than using a power screwdriver.

The visible length of the square spindle is 43 mm. The spindle is permanently welded in place and cannot be replaced. For selected models, we can offer a custom order with a longer square spindle for an additional charge. The lead time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Yes, our brass and nickel espagnolette handles are suitable for outdoor use. Handles made from unlacquered brass will naturally oxidize over time and develop a patina, which is part of the material's character. However, we recommend avoiding handles with wooden details outdoors, as wood is more sensitive to moisture, wet conditions, and changing weather.

Yes, it is possible to install espagnolette handles on both sides of the door, but it requires a through spindle that connects the handles, which we do not sell. For security reasons, it is generally recommended to install the handle on the inside of the door and leave the outside without a handle.

Yes, the handle safety catch is a plate mounted behind the handle that automatically locks it when turned to the closed position. To open it, the catch must be lifted while the handle is turned. The handle safety catch is sold separately, is available in both brass and nickel, and fits all of our espagnolette handles with two screw hole mountings.
