Duro Tapet - Astrid - Beige/Black

In our archives, we found the original wallpaper design for Astrid, a pattern described there as being in the Neo-Renaissance style. The original design can be dated to 1860-1890.

During the second half of the 19th century, the wallpaper industry began to grow in Sweden. Industrialization and new wallpaper-printing technology made it possible to produce more and larger wallpaper collections. The growing population increased demand for inexpensive wallpaper, and wallpapering became more widespread.

The wallpapers often featured stylized forms with simple pattern designs. They were well suited to machine printing. Reinterpretations of earlier styles were popular. Blue prints on a natural-colored background remained popular throughout the period. Very dark colors were also common in many homes, such as a black background with prints in gold and brown.

Apply the adhesive directly to the wall. The wallpaper is manufactured with consideration for the environment and can be washed with soap and water. Please note that slight color variations may occur between the product image and the actual wallpaper.

How to return an item:

Return terms:

• The product must be returned unused, complete and in its original packaging, and properly packed in a protective outer package in the same way as upon delivery. Original packaging sealed with packing tape will not be accepted. Return shipping costs apply.
• Heavy/fragile goods/long goods must always be returned by pallet freight.
• Tiles must be returned in dry, clean and unopened packaging.
• Once the return has been inspected and processed, a refund will be issued within approximately 5–10 days using the same payment method as used for the purchase. Delivery shipping costs are not refunded. If a return is not approved, we reserve the right to make a deduction corresponding to the depreciation in the product’s value.
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to timber (wooden floors, mouldings and panelling) or custom-made orders such as tinted paint, special alloys, made-to-measure products or assembled/painted products.
