Rectangular tiles with beveled edges became popular around year 1900. This type of tiles are often called Metro tiles, because it was put up in the subway in Paris - Le Metro. The term half-tile comes from the fact that 7.5 x15 cm is half of 15 x 15cm (5.91 x 5.91 in.) which was a very common size of tiles. In the early 1900s half-tiles were mostly used in the fancier parts of the homes, for example in washrooms and kitchen areas where even the apartment/house owners were staying. 

The tiles suit perfect above the sink or on the bathroom walls and should be mounted like bricks, i.e. with a semi-flattened displacement over respectively below a set tile. This tile is made of white clay, and each plate has been manufactured separately, which means that the plates have smooth edges. See below under related articles for matching edging tiles etc.

All parts in this series have small subtle crackles in the glaze, which contributes to a beautiful surface. For wet rooms, we recommend this tile to be impregnated with, for example, FILA MP90. Read more in the guide for Installation & maintenance.

The tile color of the image and reality can vary as well as between batches and different tile products.

Remember that tiles are a natural material with natural variations between different production times. These discrepancies do not constitute grounds for complaint. It is incumbent on the buyer to check the products before assembly. Complaints after assembly are not accepted.

• Shipping cost is based on weight, volume, and shipping method and is calculated at checkout.
• Items in stock are shipped from us within 2–5 business days.
• For customers outside the EU (excluding Norway), local taxes, duties, and customs fees may apply depending on your country's regulations and will be charged by the carrier.

How to return an item:

As a customer, you always have a 30-day right of withdrawal. To make a return, please complete our return form. There you will also find more information about returns and our return terms.

Return terms:

• The product must be returned unused, complete and in its original packaging, and properly packed in a protective outer package in the same way as upon delivery. Original packaging sealed with packing tape will not be accepted. Return shipping costs apply.
• Heavy/fragile goods/long goods must always be returned by pallet freight.
• Tiles must be returned in dry, clean and unopened packaging.
• Once the return has been inspected and processed, a refund will be issued within approximately 5–10 days using the same payment method as used for the purchase. Delivery shipping costs are not refunded. If a return is not approved, we reserve the right to make a deduction corresponding to the depreciation in the product’s value.
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to timber (wooden floors, mouldings and panelling) or custom-made orders such as tinted paint, special alloys, made-to-measure products or assembled/painted products.
