Rectangular tiles with beveled edges became popular around the turn of the 20th century. This type of tile is known as metro tile, partly because it was installed in the Paris subway system - Le Metro. The term half tile comes from the fact that 7.5 x 15 cm is exactly half of 15 x 15 cm, which was once a very common size for wall tile and floor tile. Beveled half tiles were used in Sweden during the early 1900s in more refined settings, such as laundry rooms and kitchen areas where the apartment or house owner would also spend time. During the 1920s, the popular white metro tile faced competition from tiles in other colors, including dark red, dark blue, and green.

The tiles in this series feature a beautiful deep bottle green shade and subtle crazing in the glaze, contributing to a vibrant and elegant surface. If these tiles are to be installed in wet areas, we recommend sealing them with a product such as FILA MP90. Read more in the guide for Installation & maintenance. For regular cleaning, a mild, pH neutral cleaning agent is recommended. Avoid contact with water and cleaning products with a low pH value to protect the finish of the tiles.

The tiles are best installed in a running bond pattern, meaning with a half tile offset above and below each adjacent tile. This tile is made from white clay, and each tile has been manufactured individually, giving the tiles smooth and refined edges. • Shipping cost is based on weight, volume, and shipping method and is calculated at checkout.

How to return an item:

As a customer, you always have a 30-day right of withdrawal. To make a return, please complete our return form. There you will also find more information about returns and our return terms.

Return terms:

• The product must be returned unused, complete and in its original packaging, and properly packed in a protective outer package in the same way as upon delivery. Original packaging sealed with packing tape will not be accepted. Return shipping costs apply.
• Heavy/fragile goods/long goods must always be returned by pallet freight.
• Tiles must be returned in dry, clean and unopened packaging.
• Once the return has been inspected and processed, a refund will be issued within approximately 5–10 days using the same payment method as used for the purchase. Delivery shipping costs are not refunded. If a return is not approved, we reserve the right to make a deduction corresponding to the depreciation in the product’s value.
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to timber (wooden floors, mouldings and panelling) or custom-made orders such as tinted paint, special alloys, made-to-measure products or assembled/painted products.
