The price includes a concealed mount for fixed installation. The included ceiling mount can be supplemented with a bracket to hang the lamp on a ceiling hook. The bracket is adjustable to fit both modern small hooks and the larger hooks used in the 19th century and earlier. For fixed mounting, the ceiling plate can be fitted with a wooden base that allows side entry, for example, if a knob-and-tube wire runs across the ceiling. The wooden base can also serve a decorative purpose, accentuating the lamp’s placement like a ceiling rose, and can be ordered without a cord groove.
