Victoria Wall Tiles - Metro 7.5 x 15 cm (2.95 x 5.91 in.) - Ultramarine Blue

Rectangular tiles with beveled edges became popular around the year 1900. This type of tile is often called a Metro tile because it was used in the Paris subway system - Le Metro. The term half-tile comes from the fact that 7.5 x 15 cm (2.95 x 5.91 in.) is half of 15 x 15 cm (5.91 x 5.91 in.) which was a very common size of tiles. In the early 1900s, half-tiles were mostly used in the fancier parts of the homes, for example in washrooms and kitchen areas used by the apartment/house owners. 

These tiles are the ideal choice for above sinks or on bathroom walls and should be laid like bricks, i.e. with a semi-flattened gap over (or below) a set tile. This tile is made of white clay, and each piece has been manufactured separately, which means that the tiles have smooth edges. All the pieces in this series feature small, subtle crackles in the glaze, which creates a beautiful surface. For wet areas, we recommend treating the tile with a penetrating sealer such as FILA M090.Learn more in the Installation & Maintenance Guide.

Keep in mind that these tiles are a natural material with natural variations between different production times. These discrepancies do not constitute grounds for complaint. It is the buyer's responsibility to check the products before installation. We will not accept any complaints for tile already installed.

• Shipping cost is based on weight, volume, and shipping method and is calculated at checkout.
• Items in stock are shipped from us within 2–5 business days.
• For customers outside the EU (excluding Norway), local taxes, duties, and customs fees may apply depending on your country's regulations and will be charged by the carrier.

How to return an item:

As a customer, you always have a 30-day right of withdrawal. To make a return, please complete our return form. There you will also find more information about returns and our return terms.

Return terms:

• The product must be returned unused, complete and in its original packaging, and properly packed in a protective outer package in the same way as upon delivery. Original packaging sealed with packing tape will not be accepted. Return shipping costs apply.
• Heavy/fragile goods/long goods must always be returned by pallet freight.
• Tiles must be returned in dry, clean and unopened packaging.
• Once the return has been inspected and processed, a refund will be issued within approximately 5–10 days using the same payment method as used for the purchase. Delivery shipping costs are not refunded. If a return is not approved, we reserve the right to make a deduction corresponding to the depreciation in the product’s value.
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to timber (wooden floors, mouldings and panelling) or custom-made orders such as tinted paint, special alloys, made-to-measure products or assembled/painted products.
