Please note that an intermediate switch should only be used when more than two switches control the same light. It is installed between two two-way switches, for example on a landing or in a hallway where one light source is to be turned on and off from multiple locations. If you simply need a regular switch to control one light source, or two switches for the same lamp, you should instead choose a two-way switch.
