"Återuppbyggnaden av ett sekelskifteshus" is a book about the restoration of a severely fire-damaged property in Södermalm, Stockholm. The book describes how the building was largely dismantled and then rebuilt in its original design. 

The book offers insight into how a turn-of-the-century house can be rebuilt in today's society, focusing on materials, design, and methods. Readers follow the project step by step, from roofs, walls, and floors to joinery, doors, radiators, kitchens, and bathrooms. The work was guided by one of Sweden's leading building conservators.

The book also tells the story of how a small housing cooperative’s struggle against a large insurance company and the construction industry evolved into a collaborative project. The author describes how the dedication and enthusiasm of the cooperative’s leaders inspired others, creating a unique construction project.

The author, a historian, political scientist, and economist with a passion for architecture and building preservation, expands on historical and preservation-related topics. This broadens the journey through the project to include the development of eastern Södermalm, turn-of-the-century Stockholm, and its architectural heritage.

How to make a return: 

As a customer, you always have a 30-day right of return. To return an item, fill out our return form. There you will also find more information about returns and our return policy. 

Return policy:  

• The product must be returned unused, in its original packaging, and well packaged so that it is not damaged during transport. 
• Return shipping costs will be added. Heavy goods must always be returned by pallet freight. 
• Tiles and clinker must be returned in dry, clean, and unbroken packaging. 
• Upon approval of the return, the price of the goods will be refunded. Shipping costs are not refundable. Refunds will be made within 30 days using the same payment method used for the purchase. 
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to wood products such as wooden floors, wooden moldings, and wood paneling, as well as special orders such as custom-made items, broken colors, and special alloys on fittings. 
• In the event of an unapproved return, we reserve the right to make a price deduction. 

Smaller items can be returned free of charge to our store at Karlavägen 7 in Stockholm or to our warehouse at Västbergavägen 43 in Hägersten (Stockholm). Heavier and/or bulky goods can only be returned to our warehouse.
